Born in the bustling city of Johannesburg, South Africa,  Matthys Moss was nurtured by a family steeped in creativity, with his father being a significant source of inspiration.

Having studied fine art and immersed himself in the world of advertising and various editorial roles, including Art Director, Creative Director, Design Editor, Visual Editor, and Publication Designer - Moss started to paint full time in 2012. The skills he honed during this time enriched his perspective on how art interacts with society.
